Welcome to Nagpur Portal Company’s (NPC) Remote Internship Program. This program is designed to provide valuable learning experiences and professional development opportunities for interns working remotely. By participating in this program, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before starting your internship.

1. Eligibility

  • Age and Education: Interns must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized educational institution.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Specific skills, qualifications, and academic backgrounds required for each internship position will be outlined in the internship description.

2. Internship Structure

  • Remote Work: The internship will be conducted entirely remotely. Interns must have access to a reliable internet connection, a computer, and any necessary software or tools to complete their tasks.
  • Duration: The length of the internship will be specified in the internship offer letter. Interns are expected to commit to the agreed-upon duration.
  • Working Hours: Working hours are flexible but must align with the agreed schedule. Interns are expected to manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and attend scheduled meetings.

3. Responsibilities

  • Tasks and Projects: Interns will be assigned specific tasks, projects, and responsibilities related to their field of study or career interests. These will be outlined in the internship plan provided at the start of the program.
  • Professional Conduct: Interns are expected to conduct themselves professionally, adhere to NPC’s Community Guidelines, and communicate effectively with their supervisors and team members.
  • Confidentiality: Interns must maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary information, data, and materials shared with them during the internship. This obligation continues even after the internship ends.

4. Supervision and Support

  • Mentorship: Each intern will be assigned a supervisor or mentor who will provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout the internship.
  • Communication: Regular communication is essential for a successful remote internship. Interns are expected to check in with their supervisors as scheduled and be responsive to emails, messages, and meeting requests.

5. Performance Evaluation

  • Feedback: Interns will receive periodic feedback on their performance. This may include formal evaluations at the midpoint and end of the internship.
  • Improvement Plans: If an intern’s performance does not meet expectations, a performance improvement plan may be developed in consultation with the intern and their supervisor.

6. Compensation

  • Paid/Unpaid Internship: Whether the internship is paid or unpaid will be specified in the internship offer letter. Any compensation or stipend will be clearly outlined.
  • Expenses: NPC does not typically cover personal expenses related to remote work, such as internet costs or equipment. However, any reimbursable expenses must be pre-approved by NPC.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Ownership of Work: Any work created by the intern during the internship that is related to NPC’s business will be the property of NPC. Interns agree to assign all rights to NPC, including any intellectual property rights.
  • Use of Work: NPC may use the intern’s work for any business purposes, and interns may request permission to include certain work in their portfolios, subject to NPC’s approval.

8. Termination

  • By Intern: Interns may terminate their internship early by providing written notice to their supervisor. A minimum notice period, typically two weeks, is required.
  • By NPC: NPC reserves the right to terminate the internship at any time for reasons including but not limited to breach of terms, poor performance, or misconduct.
  • Consequences of Termination: Upon termination, interns must return or delete any NPC property, data, or materials in their possession.

9. Certification and References

  • Certificate of Completion: Interns who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from NPC.
  • References: NPC may provide references or letters of recommendation based on the intern’s performance and contributions during the internship.

10. Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

  • Confidentiality: Interns may be required to sign an NDA as part of their internship. This agreement will cover the handling of confidential information during and after the internship.

11. Compliance with Laws

  • Legal Requirements: Interns must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including labor laws in their respective locations.
  • NPC Policies: Interns are required to follow all NPC policies, including those related to privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity.

12. Amendments

  • Updates to Terms: NPC reserves the right to update or modify these Remote Internship Program Terms at any time. Interns will be notified of any significant changes, and continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
